Product Overview

Quick setup & checklist

Unbox and confirm contents: cooker base, inner pot, desugar basket/filter (if included), rice paddle, measuring cup, manual.

Check model & electrical rating (usually on sticker under the base). Confirm it matches your mains (PH: 220–240V / 50–60Hz).

Wash the inner pot, basket and accessories with warm soapy water; dry. Wipe the outer base with a damp cloth (do not immerse).

Do an initial boil: fill inner pot with water to the “max” mark, run a normal cook cycle, then discard the water — removes factory residue and checks function.

Read the manual quick-start page to find exact button names for your touchscreen (note them).

Step-by-step: cooking using the Low Sugar / Desugar function

Measure rice — use the included cup (or standard cup). 1 cup uncooked rice typically serves ~2 people (depends on rice type).

Rinse rice — rinse under cold water until runoff is only slightly cloudy (1–3 rinses). This reduces surface starch.

Add rice to inner pot. Level it out.

Add water — best: use the cooker’s inside water marks. If you don’t have marks, for low-sugar cycles start with the usual ratio but reduce slightly (a small reduction helps because the desugar cycle often removes some water/starch). Example guides: jasmine ~1 : 1.2 (rice:water) — reduce ~5–10% for desugar. When in doubt: use the machine’s water marks.

Insert desugar basket / filter (if your unit has one) following the manual — it usually sits inside the inner pot or clips in place to capture starchy water during the early boil.

Close lid, plug in, power on.

Select the mode: Tap Menu (or Mode) → choose Low Sugar / Desugar (or similar). If there’s no dedicated button, choose the closest preset like Desugar/Health or follow the manual’s instructions.

Press Start / Cook. The cooker will run an automated program (initial boil + separation, then finish cooking). Let it finish.

When it beeps / finishes: open carefully (steam is hot). If there’s a removable basket, lift it out slowly and drain the starchy water into the sink or the cooker’s drain area per manual.

Fluff rice with the paddle and serve. Use Keep Warm if needed.

Cleaning & maintenance

Unplug and let unit cool.

Remove inner pot, desugar basket, gasket/inner lid (if removable). Wash with warm soapy water and soft sponge — avoid metal scouring pads on non-stick surfaces.

Wipe heating plate and outer base with a damp cloth (no immersion). Make sure heating plate is dry before next use.

Clean steam vent and any detachable lid parts regularly to avoid buildup.

Reassemble only when all parts are dry.

Safety & useful tips

Always confirm voltage rating (220–240V for PH).

Don’t immerse the cooker base or control panel; avoid direct water on the touchscreen.

Use non-metal utensils to protect non-stick inner pot.

If touchscreen is unresponsive: unplug for 1–2 minutes, then plug back (soft reset).

If rice is still sticky after desugar: rinse more, reduce water slightly, or try one less cup of water next time.

If rice is too dry: add 1–2 tbsp extra water next cook.

First-use odor: run a water boil and discard (or boil water with a slice of lemon) before cooking food.

Quick troubleshooting

Cooker won’t power on: check plug, outlet, fuse; confirm voltage.

Buttons unresponsive: unplug 1–2 min, clean panel, try again.

Desugar basket overflows/drips: make sure it’s installed correctly and not overfilled; use recommended rice & water amounts.

Rice too hard/uncooked: add more water next time or use a different preset (brown/porridge presets require more water/time).
